Pa3x remotely midi-selecting vocalist presets
Is there a way to select the Vocalist presets via remote midi?
What is the bank/program change number?

Sadly, Korg 'dropped the ball' on this one
After spending 2 hours searching for midi support, and then trying every combination of bank and program change midi messages, I am convinced that there are unfortunately NO MIDI PARAMETERS available to select Vocalist presets.
This is really a shame, and surely could have been implemented. Dear Korg Inc...do you not realize that many of us would actually prefer to change our vocal harmonies at our whim, WITHOUT changing performances (sounds)? And to change performances WITHOUT changing vocal settings?
There isn't even a way via midi, to 'lock' and 'unlock' the Vocalist 'lock' feature... a possible work-around. Otherwise, it's too time consuming to fuss with the Global setting to unlock, select the performance with the vocalist setting you want, then lock again...
If only there would be a way to midi select vocal presets, just as we can midi select performances, we would at least have options via a midi controller.
Are there no more Banks/pc numbers available... I don't think so.
Can't this oversight be rectified with a simple update???
Please!!

There is no publicly available MIDI implementation documents for PA series since (and including) PA1X.How long has this forum asked (begged, pleaded, cajoled!) Korg for a full MIDI implementation chart?
The information was regarded as proprietary and to obtain it (and other related documentation like diagnostic tools) there was a requirement to sign a NDA with Korg.
A colleague has this information because he has close association with Korg and involved in 3rd party development.
And in case you're wondering - NO, I don't have a copy.
For a while I used the i30 MIDI implementation docs which were made available but the technology has changed too much for that to be as useful today.
We can only hope I guess that we may get it one day.
Seems to be a Korg Italy requirement as Korg Kronos MIDI implementation docs are readily downloadable.
Korg PA owner (and forum member) should put up a poll - trouble is the poll would really apply to all PA forum sections (PA300/600/900, PA1/2/3/3Le etc..)
I personally can live without it but would certainly support the poll - I can fully appreciate how the MIDI info would be invaluable to many and there have been times when I would have used the info.
Cheers

Roland have LONG published complete and comprehensive MIDI implementations (including full sys-ex implementation) without any fear that any 'proprietary' information is being released.
I fail to see how a MIDI implementation chart contains any sensitive information at all... Sure, the source code for the OS may, but the sys-ex implementation is simply control codes for the features, not the features themselves.
When other manufacturers have no issues whatsoever releasing their full control code specs, Korg trying to pass theirs off as somehow 'secret' seems to be a completely bogus excuse...
