my korg pa 800 ffs
I dont know what to do, I have a korg pa 800, the joystick doesn't work, 6-7 keys don't work, sometimes its not able to load properly, scratched up, 3-4 buttons dont work, it has rubbish styles and sound, and I bought it for 800€. What should I do, please help, should I sell it or what, or should I throw it in the fkn big and smash my head against the wall?
Sorry, but probably the latter. Then a course in prudent spending. Gonna cost you more than 800 Euros to fix that puppy. But then, what'd be the point? Rubbish sounds and styles, according to you.
Sounds like the guy you bought it from shoulda paid you to take it. Please don't tell me you didn't even see/play it before you splashed the cash.

I was a beginner, I didnt know what good sounds and styles were. But when I bought it, the keys were working well, but then after 6 to 7 months, about two three keys didn't work and today six to seven don't work, and the joystick magically stopped working.I don't understand why btw I keep it clean all the time and keep it away from children, foods drinks. I know that 800 its alot but I thought that I wouldnt be able to get a profesionalrd for that cheap. So i rushed. Also I cant give it back because I bought it from another country and I bought it off someone that needed money soon possible. Thanks for the reply btw, so what do you think I should do because I'm jus stuck.

Now, that's a clearer explanation. Truthfully, I don't know what you can do now other than try to recoup a little bit by putting it on CraigsList or something and hoping someone handy in electronics fancies it. I've no idea how much you could ask.
Shame you've had to learn the hard way on this. Good luck.

I am sorry to hear that you've learned the hard way ... If you are handy in electronics a little bit maybe you can still do something about it. I will try to help you out even though I'm not sure I can be of much help

Everything that you said doesn't work, can be fixed. Maybe you'll have to put a little more effort in it but "All is not lost.
Best of luck.

Well about this, maybe you can change the rubber contacts under the keys that don't work ...they are cheap (5$) and they look like this:6-7 keys don't work

2.
You can order a new one (45$) and replace it ....it's easy.the joystick doesn't work
3.
You can do a factory reset with the format file and recovery file (a large file 100-200 MB) and see if that helps. You can download those files from the internetnot able to load properly
4.
The buttons have switches under them. They are also replaceable and are cheap.3-4 buttons don't work

Thank you guys so much it really helped. Also I have something else to tell u guys that i didn't say. Well at the beginning 3 keys didnt work, so my father opened it up and he took out the rubber and cleaned it then it worked again. But then after a week 6 to 7 didnt work so he opened it up again and cleaned it with raki ( alcohol), I hav no idea why but he did lol then after he added the raki, he began stroking the rubber trying to clean it but then one of the dots or what ever its called fell off, so now one of the keys dont work for sure and the otheres sometimes work and sometimes dont. Btw do u know what the rubber is called? Thanks for the help guys honestly!
