Buttons of the new Electribe

Post by Tom 62 »

I am a little bit surprised that no one of the new Electribe owners is annoyed by the silvergrey text printing on the grey buttons. In a club or any other situation in a darker environment you'll read exactly NOTHING :(

I thought it was just me and I needed new glasses. Korg must have got a great deal on grey spray paint at the hardware store. At least they left the display alone.

+1 from me.
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

yeah that could be a problem. But consider these points:

Many dj booths have lighting for these situations. This new electribe isn't the only piece of gear with hard to see text.

Also, you could get one of those cheap book lights and clip it on to the electribe or somewhere close to shine down on the unit.

finally, I doubt anyone will be taking this to a bar/pub/club just yet...spend some time with the unit and soon enough you will have everything memorized.

It's like with a guitar - When you first start out you need to constantly check which fret you're on. After a while, you just feel it out and don't even need to look what position you're at. The same thing applies to keys. The electribe is an instrument just like any other.

Its pretty annoying at first, but, I'm pretty familiar with the layout already so agree, if you intending to use it live in a club, I'm sure you'd either know it well enough, or ensure you are lit.
