my kronos x 88 can not read the usb

Post by henry141814 »

I got a new kronos x last few day, and I want to upgrad it to newest version. When I insert my usb driver into kronos, I can't found it in disk mode and can't update. How to solve this problem?

Do you have formatted your usb stick as FAT32?

Make sure if you format it that you do so using the Kronos.

this is what I did to my USB thumb drive. The format routine for the USB on the Kronos is slow. So you have to give it 15 minutes or so

if his Kronos doesn't recognize the USB thumb drive, then how is he supposed to format it using the Kronos?

I am assuming you understand that you have to select the drive yourself from the pull down menu at the bottom of the screen, correct? It can be a bit tricky at times. get yourself a stylis like the kind used on tablet PC- sometimes that can help when manipulating the Kronos touch screen.

Ronnfigg you are right if the Kronos don't see it then do it outside and see what happens, once formatted outside the Kronos I reformatted mine in the Kronos. and slow is an understatement, I have a large drive that took between 10-12 hours to do a full format on but once done it worked with the Kronos where before it didn't.

The Kronos is fussy when it comes to thumbdrives. I have 3 drives, it recognises only one of them.

An advise ... Format any USB stick you intent to use in Kronos with Kronos OS media format utility and you will never
face again issues like "eject USB media" and also you'll gain the maximum speed for copy/paste/erase routines in Kronos !

What type of "USB driver" are you using? Manufacturer/model/size?

Just to add a balanced view.
I format my usb sticks on a computer and have not (yet...) had any problems using them both on the Kronos.

Perhaps it is brand type sensitivity that could be a factor.
Mine are Intenso 4gb and OnMemory 64gb, brands, which are nothing special and were fairly cheap to buy.

Best Wishes.
