R3 Synth/Vocoder Display Issues

I finally begun using my R3, actually for MIDI instruments (VST's). However, I've been having trouble getting the pedal working, but that's not even the main problem.

Its the displays-they show gibberish a lot of the time; occasionally it switches back to th way its supposed to display things. All 5 of the little displays above the knobs will show random characters, numbers, and symbols, making it impossible to use since its quite literally in gibberish. Does anyone else have experience with this issue?

I found my box but didn't find a warranty card unfortunately..
