Korg pa600 roblem
Hi, I am new here. Hope to be active!
I have a problem with my A600 -
Sometimes when I select a style (specifically in Favorites) – The style would play but then I can’t select any other styles! The selection freezes. I can’t change the STS setting either. When that happens, I have to turn off the keyboard and turn on again,
The O.S. is updated to latest.
Has this happened to anybody? Any special suggestions how to fix?
Thank you all, Rami
I am working these days on creating DubStep styles. Stay tuned: http://pa600.blogspot.co.il/

Hi Ramix,
Please give details about the styles causing the issues. Are they home-made by you on a DAW ? on the PA600 ? Imported ?
Same questions about the sounds that the styles use.
Did you try the Shift+Stop key press to check if it avoids the need for a reset ?

I had a similar problem after I had installed some 3rd-party styles. I was advised by the vendor of the styles to reinstall the current O.S. even though I had the latest version already installed. After reinstalling the OS the problem was fixed and the Pa600 functioned normally with both the new and factory styles.
KORG Pa600
It was 3'd party styles, but Made specially for the korg pa 600 by a very good style creator (Lamious). The bug is not from the styles, It happens with any style selected from factory.
I tried the Shif+stop (and was annoyed to know that all these years I had that function on my PA50 - if i only knew, i wouldn't need to boot my keyboard every time some sound got stuck!)
I reinstalled the OS again, the problem happened once again after i boot.. so I havn't really solved it yet. hope to find out on my oun what triggers that problem.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP!

Lamios Lockup
Lamios was the vendor for me too. I've just sent you a PM (private message) with the correspondence I had with Lamios about the lockup problem, but the gist of what I did to correct the problem at the time was I:
".......... 1 - Downloaded OS v1.1 from Korgpa.com again today and reinstalled it.
2 - I also did a download and install for the Factory Reset (which I believe also updates the OS as well as returning the user data to original factory settings).
3 - And finally I did a Factory Restore (which I assume if combined with step #1 is the same as doing step #2 by itself).
In any case everything has been newly downloaded and installed today.
After checking to insure everything was functioning normally I installed the Lamios Mega Pack Styles once again. The Lamios Styles now seem to be functioning correctly again as they did on the day I purchased them. Hopefully they will continue to work as I find the Lamios Styles very good with a great variety. .........."
Hope this helps.

Lamios Styles Lockup
I hadn't tried the Lamios styles for some time so today I decided to give them a try and the lockup problem is back again.
If I remember correctly from before, that after I first installed the Lamios styles everything worked fine for a few day then the lockup started.
Now that the lockup is back I would say that the Lamios styles have a glitch in them that causes all styles including the factory styles to lockup shortly after being installed and that doing the re-installation as they instructed is not a lasting fix.

Working to fix this problem
Dear All,
Thank you for the good compliments about our company and products.
We are in the process of updating the Lamios Mega Pack in order to solve the problems that appeared or may appear with some of our styles.
Please note that not all PA600 keyboards have the same problem, and many others have no problems at all. Therefore, to figure out all the possible style issues, we would be very grateful if you provide us with the names of styles which may lock the keyboard or has a strange behavior with the system.
We are dedicated to provide musicians with high quality electronic products to assist them in their musical career, so, your feedback is highly appreciated.
Should you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Kind regards,

Once the lockup occurs no other factory or Lamios style can be selected unless the power is switched off then on. Once the power is back on one can select factory styles, but if a Lamios style is selected it will again go into lockup.
In order to determine which style(s) initiates the fundamental problem the OS will have to be reinstalled again and once a faulty style is encountered the OS reinstalled again each time in order to continue to look for others. (Obviously with this many styles one would hope the programming in one or two styles determined to initiate the problem would be enough to reveal the adjustment needed for any other styles.)
Osama, when I get some spare time to do this I will see what I can find out for you.
