Is Krome 88 what I need..?

Post by Cenwyn »

Hello, all!

I am new on the forums.

I have been a Korg fan since the M1 days, but not upgraded since Trinity+. I recently bought a Roland Juno-stage, but it does not feel... perfect.

I play MELODIC METAL, mostly. Need something to go on tour and play live with. I need great strings, choirs, pianos as well as smashing lead sounds!

I really like the Krome 88. But it's 2014.. Are there any better synths out there in approx the same price range, for the purpose? Some say M3... And I found a used Triton Pro ridiculously cheap... Could that be an option, even though its old?

Help! :)

M3 and Krome are basically the same sound engines. Krome has better pianos but M3 is fine. M3 has Karma, sampling and you can add a Radias card (if you can find one) to get VA synth (can be good for metal leads). Krome has a nicer touch screen if that sort of thing is important but it doesn't really add to the functionality. I would go for an M3 over a Krome or Triton.
