Do I need to upgrade my OS "Before" I add SSD driv
My current OS is the original at 1.04. I have a new SSD drive and RAM & am ready to do the upgrade. Do I need to upgrade the OS first?
My Gear- Korg Koronos 88, Korg Triton Extreme 76, Korg M1R, Korg R3, Korg Kaossilator(that's just the Korg stuff)Thanks for all your help!

Do I need to upgrade my OS "Before" I add SSD driv
I'm adding max ram & a secondary drive. I'm not replacing the existing one. I believe I found out I need to be at version 2.02 minimum.

Lastly, do I have to install each version one after another(i.e. OS 1.5 then 1.6, etc.) OR can I make the 'OS' jump all the way to the newest one first? OR.....if not, what is the max OS version can I install before I make the upgrade? Thanks again

Check Korgs site - I am pretty sure you can go straight to the latest which really is the greatest
My mostly Kronos videos:

I've put the 1.5 version in but it has been sitting at the same status for nearly 45 minutes with no movement. It just says 'Updating Version 1.50' with no change. What should I do?

If your SSD is smaller than 128 Gb, then you could add it before updating the OS. Otherwise, bigger drives can be formatted by the Kronos properly from OS2 onwards, otherwise the formating procedure hangs.
Regardless, it's better to update the OS on a system that works now. Then do your changes.
And like I said in another post, why stop at 1.5 and not install 2? The only advantage to having 1.5 is to get 3.25 Gb RAM available as opposed to 3 with 1.6 and up. And that really is not a big deal. Do yourself a favour and install 2.1.1 to benefit from all the bug fixes.
Finally, if you replace the SSD, then make sure you clone it, then extend the partition. That way, you get to copy the data that's normally hidden and specific to your Kronos.

Duplicate Post....( I just wanted to thank you all once again!) Great News!! I've booted up! I now have 'essentially' a Kronos X!! It has 2- 2 gig sticks of Corsair XMS Ram, & a Samsung 840 Pro 256 gig SSD! Now I can finalize the software & firmware updates & should be rocking! Thanks for your help!
