Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this.
So I have audio cables plugged from my Korg's output into my laptops mic input with the use of an adapter.
My computer doesn't seem to read that I've connected my Korg. I've even tried doing this while the midi usb cable is connected.
I understand midi doesn't transfer audio, but I thought i'd try.
Is there a reason why no audio is detected ?
laptop as amp for R3, but no sound detected?audio cables

Hi,
To be checked:
* use line in iso mic input (stereo vs mono)
* mic inputs may not be played back on your laptop, because it could result in screaming feedback. But they can be recorded. Look at your mixer setting of your laptop. Often you can choose wheter an input must be played back and/or recorded.
* Try your converter with another sound source device
* Last but not least, turn up the volume of your Korg
Success!

Thank you!
Hey thanks figured it out.
For those in the future.
I went to control panel and clicked on hardware and sound,
then I clicked on my soundcard and selected "line-in"
then everything worked after I connected my audio cables into my computer jack.
After that, under the sound options in "recording devices"
There was a "line-in" icon and signal was passing through.
[/code]

Re: Thank you!
Hi, i have been having problems with my Korg as well, first off, what cord are you using? cause im largely sure patch cables dont work for connecting to my Input, secondly, where exactly did you fine "line in" as i can not, and nothing shows up in recording devices?xenoglossiac wrote:Hey thanks figured it out.
