I'm running mono right now but that's because that's what I have right now. Since I'm right in the middle of upgrading my studio, it will be a while before I get to upgrade my sound system for live work.
I am however seriously considering just renting a small stereo P.A. system for live use for 2 very simple reasons. For one night it costs about $20 to rent and because stereo just sounds so much better.
I pretty much only play in small venues anyway and so the audience hears my cabinets. I am in the mains but down fairly low because our stage volume is up a fair bit. My drummer is freaking amazing but he is also LOUD! But hey, we're a RAWK band!

If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

Sounds like he could benefit from one of those plexi-glass cages. I'm starting to see them everywhere these days.jeremykeys wrote:I pretty much only play in small venues anyway and so the audience hears my cabinets. That's probably not a bad idea but I'm not sure if it's workable in a pub. But then again, who knows,StephenKay wrote:Sounds like he could benefit from one of those plexi-glass cages. No amp will work with your Kronos or sound good on all the sounds until you buy a Kronos. I'm starting to believe this is a troll. Don't feel the trolls.
Every single post:
Will _________ sound good on all the Kronos sounds, regardless of the plethora of advice already given. Goodwill has run out, at least on my part. Smelled like a troll the whole way, but I posted good info figuring it could be helpful to non trolls who happen upon this thread.

Definitely, running the Kronos in stereo is the way to go however, I prefer not to gig with two speakers for convenience. I at first, was dissapointed in the Kronos sound in mono until I sat down and tweaked the board until I was somewhat satisfied. I then asked for opinions from other keyboard players for their honest opinions and have a final product.
I will say this board out of the box was more difficult than that of other keyboards to get a great sound right out of the box, but I did prevail with alot of trial and error. I was on a mission.
All I can say is that the Kronos with some time in the EQ department can sound quite good in mono mode.
Keep at it until you are satisfied. Start with the basic piano sound and once you get that how you like it, move on to other sounds which will be easier.

Buying as you can afford it makes sense to me!
