MS-20 and Wavestation on MAVERICKS.

Post by supergirl36 »

Hello, the MS-20 and the Wavestation don't work - standalone or AU - on MAVERICKS. I tried everything.

I don't have Wavestation, but I do use MS-20 on Mavericks. I've had no problems with standalone or AU.

How don't they work? Do they crash on startup or fail to show up in your DAW?

Hey, Thanks for your answer. They crash on startup. I've tried uninstall and reinstall. I don't understand why they don't work...

I don't know what's the cause of your problem—never had problems with my Korg Legacy stuff crashing on opening.

Often this sort of thing can be caused by corrupt preference files. You could try to move your Korg preferences to the desktop (they're in User/Library/Preferences on a Mac—I don't know the location if you use a PC, but it would somewhere similar) and try reopening them. I'm not sure if the preference files also contain registration details, so I wouldn't trash them.

If they still crash on startup then return your preferences to the Preferences Folder. It might be worthwhile contacting Korg if the problem persists.

Just tried, it doesn't work. I'll contact Korg. Thanks.

Will KLC plugins close when opening when trial is over ?

Post by supergirl36 »

I have the M1, the Polysix and the Mono/Poly, and they work fine. I use Mavericks and 64-bit Ableton Live. I'd like to buy more KLC plugins. I maybe used the trial versions over two years ago. And the trial versions of the MS-20, Wavestation and Legacy Cell crash when opening. Is this normal ? I wrote to Korg in December 2013, and they never answered. Thanks.

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head.

Those old trial versions are probably no longer compatible with your system.

I don't know whether you can download trial versions of MS20 and Wavestation, but if you can, download the latest versions and try those. I've got the latest version of MS-20 and have had no problems running it on Mavericks.

I got the latest versions. But yeah, i think my question was the answer : I'm using the same computer has two years ago, and those trials have expired. That's why i cannot open the plugins. I just downloaded the trial of MDEX, and it works fine. So i think i'll just go ahead and buy the MS-20 plugin.

Thanks.
