I dont understand how the ssd sample streaming works either can someone please give me a link or something so I can read up please.
Many thanks.

Re: Understand the Sample Memory
The first page of the Sampling chapter in the Operation Guide should be helpful for the first two questions. For the last, use the search function in your PDF reader to look for "User Sample Banks."MunkeyBoy wrote:I know this has been discussed before but I didn't want to reply to a 2 year old thread.

Re: Understand the Sample Memory
Those who open the printed Quick Start Guide included with the KRONOS will read, in the first paragraph of the main text (after the "important safety instructions"), that the PDFs are included on the DVDs in the box.MunkeyBoy wrote:Thanks for that Korg spend 2k and expected to download the manual that didn't come in the box lol.danatkorg wrote:The first page of the Sampling chapter in the Operation Guide should be helpful for the first two questions. Those who can post to this forum almost certainly also have a device (computer, smartphone, tablet) that can read PDFs.

And your the R&D manager?
I could also be an ass about it and just take the thing back because I don't want to read off a screen and Korg didn't ask me if I was OK with that just because I can and move on.
But not to worry I have a kindle and the PDF is now on my Kindle but frankly reading from a PC screen is totally inconvenient.
I have 30 days to try this machine before I can send it back so lets hope reading a pdf don't cheese me off too much!

Mutual respect and common courtesy are required for productive discussion. Lacking those elements, there is no point in engaging.

It's also worth pointing out that the KRONOS is a significantly different keyboard now from when it was originally released. OS 2.0 being a pretty darn big update. So it makes little sense to go with printed manuals any more.
In fact, most hi-tech devices don't come with printed manuals any more.
PDF files are better anyway. Between being able to click on Hyper Links inside them to being able to do a search. This is 2013 also, save the Tress and all that you know.

Sharp.

Do the workstation keyboard competitors come with their 750 page manuals in a hard copy? No. Well, there you go.MunkeyBoy wrote:And your the R&D manager?

Sharp.
I remember when I used to beg to get a pdf or digital copy of the manual instead of the big clunky book that I had to page through and try to mark for future reference.
And considering how many threads are "RTFM" I am glad all the paper and ink isnt used. AND even if someone likes printed manuals.. do they need all the pages? Every appendix etc. Print what you need. Funny the comment about the kindle. I keep an old ipad in the studio just for this purpose and think it is one of the better "upgrades" all my manuals in one little searchable place

Its about choice and personally I would rather a paper manual than a pdf hell especially on a computer screen!
The Kindle has to be charged a computer has to be plugged in and neither of those will be more environmentally efficient than a paper manual especially if recycled material is used.
I bought a workstation to keep the creative process away from a computer not get back dragged to it.

Well actually no.. and you are right personal preference. Of course, since my entire studio is powered by solar - I LOVE to plug things in.MunkeyBoy wrote:The Kindle has to be charged a computer has to be plugged in and neither of those will be more environmentally efficient than a paper manual especially if recycled material is used.

I'M moving onto a boat shortly which will be mostly solar and off grid so I need to be very power conscious.ed_f wrote:Well actually no.. and you are right personal preference. Using solar you need to be even more thoughtful about consumption so I get the feeling your pulling my leg!
