Alternative Fader Caps?
Does anyone know of a viable alternative Fader Cap (that looks OK too) to the OASYS ones. Unfortunately, mine have turned to mush (a curious chemical degradation accelerated by this utterly weird weather we're having in Ireland this summer (warmth!) ).
Any useful pointers appreciated.
Cheers,
Kevin.

What colour are the D3200 Faders? I am not crazy about the lighter coloured ones in the photo on the other thread.
Second, where do you purchase the D3200 caps?
Thanks,

All of the D3200 fader caps are black except for the drum fader. The part number for the black caps is 500620049000 (S772-H-08-M SLIDER KNOB BK/G). Dunno if they still stock them or not.
You can order them from www.guitar-parts.com (1800-590-0014)

Thanks Trin. I'll give them a shot ASAP as I've been living with "sticky finger syndrome" for quite a while now!

Re: Alternative Fader Caps?
I've experienced the same problem with the Fader Caps and Knobs on my second-hand OASYS-88 which has a quite low serial number. I don't have the problem on my new purchased OASYS-88 with a very high serial number.Kevin Nolan wrote:Does anyone know of a viable alternative Fader Cap (that looks OK too) to the OASYS ones. My local Korg distributor told me to send back the sticky, resp "melted" Fader Caps and Knobs. In return, they've sent me a whole replacement set of brand new original OASYS Fader Caps and Knobs FOR FREE !!!
Just call your local Korg distributor and you might experience the same excellent service...

Looks great. Let the sound mangling begin. Thanks to all for the great inputs.

Slider Knobs Removal
This is an old topic but I am having the same problem.
For those of you that did replace these bum sliders, how much force was required to remove these knobs from the slider?
I do not want to break something by yanking on the plastic too hard.....

Did mine last year. The slider knobs were maybe 12 dollars. The old ones came off without any trouble at all. Very simple replacement

Incredibly easy - no issue at all. Just gently pull them off, on wedging or anything needed - no affect on faders. Go for it !!
