Took like 2 minutes to download, put on a USB stick, and load in the Kronos. If you want, you can then save it as a Userbank. Sure seems simpler than loading a bunch of files and someone else's Userbank.
Ooops - Thanks for the thumbs up on this SanderXpander - I have removed my entire post on my Shakuhachi samples.
I had no idea I was breaking forum etiquette.
Apologies to all forum guys who may have read my post, looks like I have a lot to learn about these forums.......

I don't think you broke any etiquette? I just thought that method seemed a lot simpler.

Hopefully he will be able to assemble it and post it someplace.

pkarr - Here is a wee note I sent to sharp re the Sledgehammer Combi:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDrx1apdZIE

I have not tested the Sledgehammer Combi live yet, but it shouldn't take too much effort to tweak it.
If you check out the youtube vid at the end of the tune, I am playing a brass riff with my left hand and farting about with the organ sound on my Motif with my right hand - the brass notes for this section are down at D2 - Bb2 (if I remember)
Sharp, is this available somewhere in the Forum yet?

Thanks

OK Guys, after much farting about I think I have a link to the Brass files via Dropbox.
As I mentioned earlier, the Programs are pretty much virgin with the filters wide open and nothing much else happening except for reverb.
You guys can do what you need to do to get them sounding the way you want.
The "Steely Dan Brass" program is not good in this download, but I have managed to tweak it a bit on my Kronos to balance the 3 elements (Sax Section, Trumpet Section and Baritone Sax) so that they all sit better in the mix.
The Combi is Sledgehammer and I have some notes on it in a previous post in this topic.
Could someone let me know if all this actually works?

Did anyone manage to produce some Combis using this sample set.
I would be really interested to see what you Pro guys did with them.

This is a link to the 24bit enhanced sample set which now include Sax and Trumpet Falls.

I need help with the Sax Section and Trumpet Section programs guys....
I have searched but can't find the answer to this simple technique :-

The Sax and Trumpet Sections have the main multisamples assigned to OSC1.
I added the "Falls" to OSC2 and tried to figure out a way to use SW1 to silence OSC1 and activate OSC2
I figured out how to silence OSC1 using SW1, but OSC2 is always active..how do I make OSC2 silent until I activate SW1..??

My plan is to make a Combination using the "Full Brass Section" program and the 2 Falls Programs and use SW1 to select the articulations.

Hi, guys,
I have just found this thread. I have been desperately trying to get a great sounding brass patch on my kronos, since I bought it.
I had hoped that the upgrade Iaid out for would help but alas no.
Kaptain's brass patches sound fantastic.can anyone tell me if the files Sharp has put on the forum are Kaptain's patches?
If they are, what with me being an ageing technophobe, could one of you nice people talk me through how to get them onto my kronos.
Kaptain, I have to say the patches sound great, I watched the you tube links you posted. I envy your talent, although not your inability to control your farts.

Hi Paul
Thanks for your kind comments - as for the fart thing, a well known Scottish poet once wrote "Where ever ye be, let yer wind gang free", however, he forgot to mention this did not apply to old guys..you have been warned.

Here is a wee link to an instructional video, courtesy of those fine chaps at Sounds of Planet, showing step by step instructions on how to install files to your Kronos.

http://soundsofplanet.manifo.com/install-protein

I can confirm the files Sharp has put on the forum are mine, however the following link contains improved quality samples with the addition of Sax and Trumpet falls, and improved programs and the Sledgehammer Combi.

Press this link and use the "Download" button to download the files to your computer.
If your computer doesn't un-zip the file automatically, I guess you just double click it and your computer will do it for you.
Then follow the instructions on the above YouTube link.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy...

Help!!!

Post by daffyduxxx »

Hi again,
I followed the video on how to load the files. But when I go to load the PCG file and click LOAD I am not given the option on which bank to load it into.
I have a box that says "from" which is set to ALL.If I drop that menu down it gives me a list of all the banks.
But I am not loading the file from a bank I am loading it from the HDD right?
If I select any of the banks in the "from" menu I am then given a "to" menu but when I select the destination and click LOAD it says No READABLE DATA.
I am obviously doing something wrong, any ideas chaps?
The only thing I can think of is, I am not running the latest version of software as apparently there were issues so I am running 2.05 Maybe this is a feature of the newer version?
thanks for any help
Paul
