Hello to all friends in this forum, i'd like to know (and if you can help me) to configure or if there is some patch or other, to control legacy korg (ms20, polisix etc) with Arturia Analog experience the laboratory keyboard.
Expecially for program change knobs.....i tried to configure from the keyboard Midi control center software, but i'm not able to change sounds via the keyboard....
Please help me!

Re: Legacy coll and Arturia The laboratory keyboard
I'm not hugely familiar with how the labratory keyboard sends its information out; but, a good first step would be to check in the Legacy Collection preferences (for whichever instrument you're using) to see if MIDI program change is enabled. After that, I would try recording a MIDI track using the labratory keyboard to see if it's sending program changes.
Let us know if either of those suggestions are helpful. Good luck. Cheers!

Re: Legacy coll and Arturia The laboratory keyboard
The Laboratory keyboard (can't speak for the rest of the range) has a... unique approach to program selection. If you take a close look at what the program change knob actually does, you see that it only sends out relative values (turn to the right, and you get something like 74; turn to the left, you get something like 34, with no numbers in between). In that respect, it works more like a 2-way switch than a conventional rotary encoder.thenightflyer wrote:Hello to all friends in this forum, i'd like to know (and if you can help me) to configure or if there is some patch or other, to control legacy korg (ms20, polisix etc) with Arturia Analog experience the laboratory keyboard.

This also means that the knob is pretty much useless outside of the Analog Laboratory software. I've yet to find a way to set up the board for effective program changes; in fact, I usually just use the mouse for that, instead.
Now the regular encoder knobs map to KLC parameters just fine. You can either change the CC# assignments on the keyboard to match Korg's defaults, or change Korg's assignments to match what the keyboard sends out.

That's good to know. I was looking into one of these but ultimately settled on an X-Station 25 (more knobs!
)
Cheers!
