FabFilter's Saturn, iZotope's Trash2 or Ohm's Ohmicide

Post by tpantano »

Hello, all! Long time no see.

I'm trying to choose a multi-band distortion as splitting a signal into multiple busses in Logic is a time-consuming pain, and I'm dissatisfied with the stock distortions regardless.

I'm currently looking at Trash 2, Ohmicide and Saturn; all of them seem quite good. Trash's draw-your-own-waveshaper capability seems interesting, and the included filters would be useful. I don't need the impulse response capabilities though due to having Logic's Space Designer, and the near double price point over the other plugins is really putting me off.

Ohmicide I unfortunately haven't seen much of, but FabFilter released some really good demonstration videos of Saturn–

Any opinions on these or other distortions?
