I haven't seen any "blowout" specials on the M3 now that it's discontinued. I was going to pick up an M3M for a backup, but prices aren't that low at all, except for an occasional B-stock deal. (I expected them to be $999 by now).
When the M3 first came out, I remember Triton Extremes at Guitar Center (and other places) suddenly received major discounts. Not sure why the M3 price didn't drop that much.
Korg is no longer manufacturing the M3. I recently had problems getting a replacement joystick because of that. Korg support even told the service tech that it was discontinued.
Remember that OASIS remained on the site long after Korg quietly killed it.
The M3 is a great board ... grab one while you can.
