You might like to know Rikki, that the app has been regularly updated, and is at version 1.5.6, and Extreme Sample Converter is at 3.6.

If your version IS 1.5.6 my apologies ;)

I have also just today had confirmation from the developer, that he is now working on a Windows 7 64 bit version, to be released a little later this year, plus enhancing the conversion processes by way of making it all a little more automatic (or do the work behind the scenes) with the end user merely needing a few mouse clicks!!

The bundle package in my view represents excellent value for money!!

Just my 2 cents!!

Cheers

Hi Dennis,
mine is 1.5.6 & has been since Dec 2010.

http://www.samplelord.com/index.php

I've also had Extreme Sample Convertor, since 2006.

He used to have a news notice on his website stating that he was upgrading to Win7 . Be great when he does .
They're both great programs.

I had been involved with softsynths ( nothing flash , mainly soundfont banks) & software arrangers since 2004 for my laptops. I had a great mentor in Frank Rosenthal over on Synthzone. I picked up a number of programs over the years to make my setup function.

Okay cool, there is another update for it coming soon as well, that is according to the developer. Whether it comes when he says, or is provided at all, is of course yet to be seen :)

I was under the impression that his updates were a little more frequent to be honest. I simply was using the latest version...

It is a very good program set I think, and the sample conversion process is first-rate!! Especially the conversion from the tricky Giga format..

You can't beat ESC either way to be honest.
Samplelord is also extremely efficient. Ran on my V-Machine effortlessly and that puppy is by no means fast under the hood.

Hi Sharp,
it was to do with the VMachine that I first came across SampleLord,
you suggested it to me in regards to having a soundfont player for it.
It does so much more though.

Hi Dennis,
I think possibly he updates Extreme Sample Convertor more regularly than he does SampleLord. I'm pretty sure there was one a few months ago.
I'm not really a big user, I've only ever played around with soundfonts.
I'm converting some of my sd2 Live Drum soundfonts across to PA3X for my Ketron style conversions.
I've got some giga samples too, might give it a go to , to get some extra XG drum kits.

For those who have been following this thread. I have some further news and updates :)

The great news is Rob has managed to secure major investor funding, and I mean MAJOR which is going to really accelerate the whole development process.
It is getting serious now folks!! As if it wasn't already :D

The first prototype hardware has been delivered and Rob has this assembled and provided a brief demonstration at the investor meetings. So cool, it even had a clear perspex cover so the inner workings were all revealed!! He did not take up my suggestion to add some blue LED's as well (':P')

Glad to say it performed admirably the first time out in something extremely close to the finished product. A few hardware (case only) glitches caused by manufacturer error in hole and screen printing placement, but these will be sorted in prototype II coming very soon.

Software and OS development is right on track, and the final database of included software is being compiled..No firm decisions, apart from Sonar Essential, on the software apps has been made as we are still in the evaluation (final) stage here...

The OSL exclusive sound library is coming together nicely, and some audio demos initially (video a bit later) should be posted soon. I cannot give a day or date and it won't be tomorrow :D, but soonish...as well as some screen shots of how it is all looking.

Well that's about it for now. More, when more can be revealed!!

Cheers
Dennis

Thats really great news, i am glad things start working out so good...

Because youre bringing to the arranger market what its been needing for years now, innovation combined with quallity and reliabillity.

I hope you can bring this home...
