Karma M 50 software

I would not even dream of owning an M50 and not getting this to go along with it, it would be like owning a sports car but never driving over the speed limit with it.
I had the first version which was excellent but I just got the KM50 software and it is an absolute beast. You can get so much sound variation with this thing that I find my self lost for hours on end in its patterns and variations. It takes some time to get the full use out of it but even on first time use you will be amazed. Once you get the feel for how things operate it will astound you. The more you learn about it the better it becomes as a musical tool.. As I posted in the other thread on this here, Learning to edit the software turns this thing into the ultimate arranging tool . The possibilities are nearly if not absolutely endless. I still have a great deal to learn about just how it works but every day is a new learning experience with it and it just gets better as you learn. \
As you can tell I certainly thought it was worth it enough to get the updated version for my M5o after having the Le version for my trition previously. Changing seens from the M50 once you set up your combi is one of those huge improvements. This is as clode to an M3 as you can get without owning one also.
Have you been over to Karma Labs to look at some of the videos yet??

Well it depends, I have an M50 without the Karma software, because I used(d) it mainly for gigging. And since the Karma software is a separate software application not able to use on stage, it is not justified for me to buy it.

Actually you could use this live on stage.michelkeijzers wrote:Well it depends, I have an M50 without the Karma software, because I used(d) it mainly for gigging. And since the Karma software is a separate software application not able to use on stage, it is not justified for me to buy it.
There are two ways, The most obvious would be through the use of a laptop or for that matter you could set up a tower and monitor, I would choose laptop of course.
The other option is sequencing. You could record sequences and use parts from it in many ways, drum tracks, rppr, patterns ect.
It all depends on what you want to do with it.

But normally we play everything live, we don't use sequences, and drum track aparts. Only in one song I used an arpeggiator and that was continuously hitting the pressed keys at a fast rate (too fast to do it manually).
