laggy iKaossilator

Hi,
I bought recently iKaossilator app and I think it's great, sometimes better than the original kaoss. After a few days I found that there is one problem, a big one for me. When I'm using e.g. TripletHouse to make drum line (not to keep my finger all the time to hear the full part, but to make irregular drums for drum and bass, I hope you know what I mean despite the chaos, sorry for my english) it sounds and works just fine as long as I don't want to record it. Because after clicking the rec button (or play) it starts to lag. I try to do the same thing as I did previously but it just goes apeshit and plays what it wants.
Can you help me? Or maybe it's normal and I'm just stupid?

I experience random lag on ipod 3g. Generally it manifests as me have to press to select something several times. Doesnt occur on ipad1.

Are you sure it isn't a quantise issue? That causes some lagginess when you record - or rather, it doesn't play back the way you played it (which is sort of the point, of course), but might be causing the stutters.
