They are hardly a mega corp.

Other threads have mentioned the date for release being posted and not being updated problem.

You are not alone in your concern.

I'm still enjoying the K61 very much so a new OS update would be welcome but is not stopping my enjoyment.

It will be here soon, we all hope.

Korg is caught between a rock and a hard place. If they don't update the website then they are criticized for being lazy and not caring about their users. If they do update their database then they would be criticized for changing their original commitment for the new o.s. and be guilty of "lying" about it to temporarily appease us users. I am sure if the new o.s. is really ready to be released, they would just release it. IMHO, they probably are having a tough time correcting all the problems, so that when it is released, the update will be bulletproof and that will then silence the criticism...as well as enhance the K's potential and further increase sales. :)

I always liked Blizzard Entertainment's answer and maybe Korg should adopt it:

"When it's ready."

Seriously folks, I am not defending Korg but until we hear from someone AT Korg, I believe it is unfair to make accusations. There are many possibilities and any of them at this point are conjecture.

I want this update as badly as anyone but at this point the only thing that has hampered me is that I want the extra user banks so that I can really get into creating sounds and keeping them internally and not have to choose between HD-1 and EXi as we have to do now.

Other than that, there is plenty to keep me busy with this instrument.

It's not like 1.5 is done and they just forgot to post it for us. Even though there's a serious enough bug that my band can't play our closing song and I'm really hoping 1.5 fixes it, I'm perfectly content waiting for them to finish it where THEY are happy with a release soon after.

DEAR KORG: DO NOT RUSH IT JUST TO GET PEOPLE TO QUIT COMPLAINING. Take your time, do a good job. We'll wait.

Yah, I'd second that. All it needs to read is:

Korg Kronos 1.5 Update: COMING SOON

I'd be good with that...

Every time someone complains, it delays 1.5 one more day.

I don't expect the OS upgrade will be something like 100 MBs so it will only take a few minutes to download (of course depending on the connection speed).
