How can one replace/fix the valve?

Post by Jampaq »

I bought my Korg shipped from the US (I'm Canadian) and I'm worried that the warranty won't be honoured in Canada. My sound crackles or cuts out when the amp modelling is on (but is otherwise fine when the modeling is off) - all signs point to a bad valve. Any experience on how to change or fix the valve from you fine users? This is if I choose to try it myself, once determining the cost from a service provider.

see this earlier thread, which seems to suggest that it's not as easy as it should be, and may void your warranty if you try it yourself.

Thanks Paul, I'm basically coming up on a year, but the voiding of warranty's not an issue, cause I don't even think it's serviceable in Canada (since I bought it in the US) - just wondering if anyone has actually tried to do it themselves at all.
