Controlling the same parameter with two physical controls

Hi,

I've started to get my head around how the Kronos works (coming from a Motif). There is one issue where I have a solution but I am not sure if it's the most elegant one.

In one program I need to have filter cutoff on the ribbon AND on my exp pedal. To do that I have used two AMS mixers: The first to scale the exp pedal output to the range of the ribbon. The second in "gate" mode to switch between ribbon and exp pedal when I press (and hold) my foot switch (assigned to portamento). This allows me the use the ribbon for filter cutoff or the exp pedal when I hold down the foot switch at the same time.

This kinda works but I am wondering if there is a more straightforward way to achieve this ?

I don't want to globally assign my exp pedal to the ribbon cc. I tried but I am having problems to put the pedal in the "zero" position, i.e. half-way through.
