Got my K88 today...

Post by Enzi »

... and it's great. I am replacing my Motif 7 with the Kronos and I cannot believe how much better the Kronos sounds and how flexible it is. I started to audition the programs but didn't get very far. The pianos alone kept me busy for hours

My Kronos is absolutely fine. The fan is barely audible, the keybed feels great and the key spacing is ok (not perfectly even but way better than some examples I've seen here). The data wheel is still working as well

I am really looking forward to learning how all the engines work and integrating the Kronos into my Logic-based home studio. I've already learned a lot on how to work with the Kronos (thanks to the great contributors here) but there is a long way to go - my last Korg instrument was a Trinity.

Cheers,

Enzi

Congratulations on your excellent purchase. :D I'm dying to get my hands on an 88 or 73. But I'm going to have to keep my Motif XS. The Kronos is such a different beast. So incredibly musical but in a different way than the XS. I'll find space for both somehow.

You might want to wear a mask/scarf so you don't get too much drool on the new axe. :) Congrats.
