need help duplicating microkorg lead on other synths

Post by funkstone »

I have a great (very simple) microkorg patch that I love

I am sure it is very simple and I cant figure out why I cant seem to program something like it on other synths.

It is a sweet lead synth patch that gets a bit dirty when the cut off is turned up via the mod wheel.

I want the same sound on my radias but more importantly on my iphone (I use the akai synthstation app, or nano studio, or nlog all controlled with the akaipro synthstation 25)

the patch is pretty simple and it bugs me that I cant get it happening on other boxes--- any help would be appreciated.

I think it started out as the factory preset from a53 that I tweaked slightly

If you are into helping me with the reverse engineering I can send you an image of the editor or the .prg file.

(or tell me how to post it here)[/img]

part of what confuses me is that it sounds like virtual patch 1 is sending the mod wheel to the cutoff but when I look in the editor none of the VPs are assigned.

This is very similar to my post. Just Reason instead of SynthStation25.

Send me a picture of the editor and I'll post it up here.

Translating to the Radias should be pretty easy as they are a very similar architecture, there are just some things that need setting up on the Radias to make it sound like a microKorg when you start patching, a few rules to follow. The cutoff ranges are slightly different which is the most difficult part.
