Triton Classic VS Micro X help needed

Post by bunky »

Hi a guy wants to trade his TC for my MX in an even trade.

I'm not really a synth expert by ANY means. I'm mostly going to use the drums sounds, organs, pianos, and strings for home recording. Plus have some fun making weird sounds.

Would this be a good trade?

Wow, he's giving up a lot!

You'd be getting a larger keyboard, sampling, sequencing and a touch screen.

TC is more capable, mainly because of the five insert effects VS one insert effect on the microX. However, the microX has a more up to date sound set with more ROM. TC can also take ROM expansion cards though, which most of the extra samples in the MX are taken from

Depends if you like programming your own sounds or if you rely on those built in.

I recently went from the TR - which is the same as the microX but with more keys and a sequencer - to the KARMA which has more in common with the TC but with the same screen/menu system as the TR/LE/X50/MicroX/Triton Rack. and I definitely consider it a worthy upgrade.
