Yes. I forgot to say that I leave the synths on only because I have stable energy supply.

By leaving the synths (mixer, ampolis, etc) on I avoid generating surges and peaks which could damage items,

but the pre-condition is that there are no "ambiental" surges and peaks...

If your power supply is not clean and stable, turn everything off when not needed.

Most electronic music instrument are still using some power in the off position as well. The power supply transformers are on as long as it is plugged in. So if it's not unplugged shutting it off does very little toward being green.

of course switching equipment on and off costs a little of its lifetime, but as long as you dont do it constantly like a few times per minute, it is still way better than keeping stuff on nonstop for months.
plus the switching mainly stresses the psu only and does not unnecessarily wear the other components like the cpu, screen, etc. which all have a certain lifetime, as everything has: your car won´t last longer if you keep the motor running for decades either

I turn my equipment off. I think lifetime of the equipment will then be longer, and I do not waste electricity.

As to computers: it's beneficial to shut it down every day. Otherwise memory (RAM) gets fragmented and the system will generate more page faults. Page faults, by their very nature, degrade the performance of a program or operating system. Chances are also very high that one (or more) programs have memory leaks, which eventually also will cause page faults, but much earlier.
Furthermore, everybody knows that hard disks have limited lifetimes (I'd say 8-10 years in average). And for sure you don't increase the lifetime if it's on and spinning all the time.
