PadKontrol with Kaossilator Pro...

Post by Mr36 »

Can anyone test whether a PadKontrol can easily trigger KPro notes? I know it can be configured to send CC messages via the pads bit is this all it would take?
I'm not that knowledgeable about MIDI, I'm afraid.

I'm gonna try hook them up later, will let you know of the results.

I'm only learning myself so it may or may not work.

You'll be able to trigger sequence memory banks without any other device. Unfortunately KoPro cannot handle note data otherwise.

In normal mode, you'll be able to sen CC data to simulate touchpad movement. You'll need some button for sending touch control, if padcontrol hasn't that in the touchpad or you can program it to change two CC values at the same time.

So it would be possible to assign the pad on message to, say, a knob that you could turn fully on without actually making the KPro make any sound and then assign both the X and Y axis values to one trigger pad?

Or do the X and Y axis messages have to be on a controller that has a scalar movement (like a knob or a wheel or another pad)?

So annoying...

lol you could probably use the touchpad on it to control one if you're getting desperate....
