Sequence Editing Quantize

Post by smoney »

Anyone know a simple way to quantize all of the notes once i sequence on the sequencer directly on the m3. Not sure how to set up the quantize function correctly then once set up, how to edit or select a track and just quantize them all i.e. midi style on a midi editor?

hi thanks for the reply, so i've been to that part of the menu before, but it seems that it doesnt do anything, is there a way to set it so it quantizes to 16th note, 8th note etc, also tried moving them manually and that was just a disaster!

set the resolution to 8th or 16th notes. its called reso on the seq screen. there are little pictures of notes to signify what setting you want. at default it says Hi.

Hope this helps

smoney...

Do you mean that it doesn't quantize what you record? It is supposed to quantize at the selected resolution in realitime whatever you record.

If you want to quantize what you have already recorded, then use the Track Edit menu and Quantize, Make sure you have selected the correct bar and notes ranges.[/quote]
