Kaoss Pad as midi Tempo Master?

Once I start up a sample on my KP3, can I send out the midi clock to set my MPC1000 (hardware sequencer) tempo? And still retain my MPC as a master and sequencer for synth?

Ie. get the KP3 looping, then start a blank sequence on the mpc recording midi from a synth all at the KP3's tempo?

Midi chain:

Kaoss Pad midi out -> MPC1000 midi in

MPC midi out -> Synth midi in

Synth out -> MPC in

Synth midi thru -> Alesis drum machine midi in

KP3 as tempo master. Mpc to record and sequence synth. MPC's pads used with a note-assigned program to control the drum machine.

Makes sense yet?
