file not found error

Post by plemman »

When I try to load the Pro Vintage Keys files into my M3, I get a file not found error. I have the PCM04_KS.PCG file in the root folder of my USB stick. The media load page shows it as a folder with keyboards on it.

When I select it and hit load, I get a file unavailable error.

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

TIA,
paul

Have you previously loaded other files OK from the same USB stick? If not, then I suspect the USB stick is one of those pesky ones that the M3 will not read because it has a U3 partition on it which will have to be removed using a U3 partition removal program from the manufacturer.

I used the same USB stick to upgrade from 2.0.0 to 2.0.4 just before I tried to load the Vintage Keys file.

Hi plemman,

On a PC, what is the file size of the PCM04_KS.PCG file that's on your USB stick? Mine reads 539,008 bytes.

Also could you try saving a Program to USB and then loading it again? If that works then the PCM04_LS.PCG file is corrupted, try downloading again? If you can't save a Program or load it from USB then there is a hardware problem, either with the USB stick or the M3 USB port.

Best regards,
Rob

Rob, I downloaded the files again and this time put them on a smaller capacity stick (2GB instead of 8GB). Worked like a charm. Thanks so much for your help.

JERRY OF KORG USA, IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE SOME NEW SYNTHESIZER BASS SAMPLES AND SYNTHESIZER SOUNDS WITH NEW EFFECT PRESETS.

WE NEED MINI MOOG TYPE BASSES AND ARP2600

IT WOULDN'T NICE TO GIVE US HIP HOPPERS SOME DIRTY SOUTH SOUNDS AND DRUMS. MAYBE EVEN SOME PATTERNS.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME MAYBE YOU CAN PAY ME A ROYALTY TO KICK OFF SOME NEW SOUNDS.

I HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD. JUST PROVIDE ME WITH KMP MAP TEMPLETS FILS AND THE SOUNDS TO DROP IN THE KMP AND A CHEAT SHEET WITH THE SETTING OF THE PCG FILES

EXBPCM01 PCG SEEKER.

It was a wonderful Christmas present Korg.

Wow did I have fun with it. I used one of your Clavs & the Karma 1
setting.

It's loose, sloppy. But wow - I had fun. I would not have recorded this
if it weren't for these patches.
