Thanks Korg, first impression ,it is verry well programmed. Going to spend more time to check them all. 8)
OT, still love the vol 1 especially the rhodes sound. This key off sound in osc 2 is great. I copy that one to the KARO EP library, then you are in Rhodes heaven. :D

Thanks again Korg. Glad you provided another update.

I have a two week old baby boy :), so not much time to look at my O at the moment :(

Looking forward to downloading the new sounds soon.

Wow, lots of great sounds in this set and it's good to see some favourites from the M3XP like Diamond Sky.

Yes thanks very much Korg for a really great, and useful soundset. Some interesting Middle Eastern presets too.

And congrats on the baby boy lc, won't be long before he's playing the OASYS with his dad....maybe not quite yet though :)

Anyway, thanks again Korg, keep 'em coming :)

>> Perhaps it might be good to consider a different approach. I just save projects to the hard drive. I've never had to re-program a single Combi or Sequence, since they are all stored along with the necessary Programs, Drum Kits, and Wave Sequences in a PCG file.

Irrespective of my mixed emotions about KORG and Oasys combination, I sincerely really appreciate Dan - though I haven't met him in person, I'm sure he must be gem of a person. I find his responses to all kinds of posts very professional, kind and helpful. What I like about him is his approach to "solve the problem", may be within the given limitations of system and processes. A lot to learn from this great person. Sometime I feel bad that he needs to get in a defending position due to his employer.

Dan, I wish I get an opportunity to shake hands with you sometime in the future! I wish you continued success :-)

I'm glad to see you enjoying the new sound release, and I'd like to second the "props" for Dan. I enjoy working with him and I learn a lot about the big "O" from him, his manual writing, and his posts as well.

He deserves a big, fat...

commendation!

Best regards,

Jerry

Thanks.

Yes, the misses is already threatening his chocolate covered hands all over the keyboard in a few months. Need to lock it away safe :)

Ah, the chocolate'll come off.

My kids (9, 8, and 5) *love* the Oasys (especially the 5-year old who likes "patching" on the MS-20), but we do have a "no sticky fingers" in the house rule for anything electronic, especially synths and video game controllers.

Back on topic -- FANTASTIC set of sounds in this batch, including a couple I was coincidentally looking to program myself. Great synth leads, guitars and basses!

Hi Korgis,

I would also like to again say thank you to Dan and Jerry for the fantastic support!

Incidentally, the OASYS offers the best sounding sampler on the market

GREAT sounds!

Post by OysterPearl »

These are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS SOUNDS!! Well programed and very much PLAYABLE and USABLE (most important)! I especially loved the guitars and ethnic programs.

Good job KORG, you accomplished some damage correction to your reputation in my books - I had almost started to think that you guys are going to be off the business soon, welcome back! If you deliver 2-3 additional banks of similar quality, you will build user confidence and that's pretty much what I want for Oasys - playable and usable sounds in the CURRENT market from time to time over next 4 years. I own a PC3X and the thing is superb. The recent 2 XPansion banks enable me back to Oasys as my main board for most of the sounds.

Sharp,
Can we take a user poll to check how many of them want to pay AMC (annial maintenance charges) to keep the Oasys sounds "current" over the next 2 years? I'm in for it!
I also suggest KORG seeks this input from all Oasys owners, as many of them are not on this forum.

Thanks Korg for the good programmed and playable sounds. The now 4 additional soundbanks show again the capacity of the HDR 1.
