New Korg M3 Premium Content Area (PCA) - video tutorials!

Post by StephenKay »

Hi people,

Image

We are pleased to announce the opening of the new Karma-Lab Premium Content
Area (PCA). You can read more about what it is, how it works, and how to join:

Premium Content Area (PCA) - Description

The Premium Content Area (PCA) is an exclusive area of the Karma-Lab Forums
containing brand new video tutorials and related discussions. Access is granted
by purchasing a low-priced subscription.

Image

Note that our free video content is still available through the regular KL Media Player,
and we will continue to add content to that area as well. The PCA is for people
who want to go a bit further with their instrument, and don't mind paying a small
fee to do so. We hope you find this a useful addition to Karma-Lab Forums.

Please note that initially, all of the content is geared towards the Korg M3. We
do expect that to change at some point as more videos are created (such as
videos for KARMA Software, which can apply to the M3, the OASYS and the M50
as well), and we shall have separate PCA sections for other keyboards.

INITIAL RELEASES / FREE SAMPLES

At this time, we have started with the first 8 Chapters of Scott Raposa's "House 101:
M3 Combi Creation Series." Some of you may have seen the original "proof of concept"
version that Scott released of the first 6 chapters; these have been completely redone
with more content, better examples, and better production (with myself as Executive
Producer). And we have added two new sections to "get the ball rolling". Each video
has a separate thread in the Premium Content Area - Korg M3 section, from which
you can access the video and link to discussions about it (once you have a PCA
Subscription).

Furthermore, we have made two sections available FOR FREE, so you can get
an idea of what they are and whether they will prove valuable to you.

For more info and a listing of all chapters in the Series as they are released (including
the free samples):

House 101: M3 Combi Creation Series - Home Page

Chapters 9 through 16 are already shot and "in the can", and waiting to be edited. And
Scott's getting ready to work on Chapters 17 through ???. They will be going up
sequentially in the coming weeks. So grab yourself an affordable PCA Subscription,
and view each chapter as it "pops out of the digital oven" - with new exclusive video
content to look forward to every week. :)

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Over the years, so many people have asked for "something" like this, offering to pay
for tutorials, dvds, etc. Now's your chance! Show your support and we'll continue down
this path. And if we end up producing enough material, through the success of this
venture, we'll release it on DVDs at a later date.

Image

If you have any issues with joining or accessing the videos, first see our PCA FAQ
(which will be growing), then post a question in the PCA-General Discussions Forum.

Thanks!

Yes... to PCA

Post by angelonyc »

Yes, I've been watching them all week. Following the examples step by step. They are worth the investment. Stephen Kay is extremely dedicated to his work. Explanations, and responses to questions are thorough and prompt.

Mr. Kay, will you create some video tutorial for how to create GE with M3 only? and how to create a good scene variation with some break fill added, or something attractive Karma-fied making for any music style like pop, jazz, latin, etc? :D Thank you for your contribution for M3 users... :)

You cannot create a GE with M3 only. You can only edit them. Sorry about that. Creating GEs requires KARMA M3 software, and I hope to do tutorial videos about that.

There will be many videos we hope, about many different topics. That is, if people join and support the concept. :D

PS. What does "StA" mean?

Well, since some people is confused about my "StA" signature, then i wont use it here :)

so in my mind, i just can only modify GE's with my M3. if i want to create a new GE, i must buy and use Karma M3-software. am i correct?

so far i just can learn from the http://karma-lab.wikidot.com/karma2:start to learn how to advance karma. yet i cannot sign in at PCA because my paypal account is not active yet :(

for my oppinion, Karma can maximize our musical performance, whether in a recording/arrangement session or one man band (of course Karma is totaly different from an arranger type keyboard, but they can be a perfect combination in a live performance such as M3 with PA2X)...

so mr. Kay has support the M3 and Karma users to maximize our ability to use Karma for our musical production what ever it is :)...

It is a 170$ software, not a big deal of money but...i own over 150 000$ of
equipement, i own over 30 000$ of Pro Tools HD3 system and none of this
things is as supported as KM3 soft...my point telling you this is that in my
whole career i havent found anything that is supported as KM3 is by Stephen.
A software can cost up to 5000$ or a machine with all kinds of promises but
after bought they all dissapear...not even Korg's intruments are supported as
KM3 is...none of your questions would be ever Missed by Stephen or anyone
in e-mail or on the forum, anything you ask or you need you get you answer
in few hours, always, every single time you have a solution.
