Complete erase ESX-1
HI all,
Is it possible to wipe out everything out of the ESX?
Samples, patterns, songs, ALL...?
cheers
PS, I remember somebody doing it by a mistake but I can't find it....

Re: HELLLP
You deleted the presets. If you want them back you'll need to download them from Korg onto a Smartmedia Card and then upload them back into the ESX. The factory preload samples and patterns can be found at the bottom of this page http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=159spadinodj wrote:I reset to factory default, but now no longer has no pattern and no sound is empty, I see, A01 pattern, but not rings, and says: no sample
the only sound you hear is that of the metronome![]()

had the same problem. looked at it on a positive angle and found myself simply just loading non korg samples making the ESX basically something like any hardware drum machine you want (to an extent) which all depended on the samples you loaded on it. quite refreshing though. but i plan to reload the factory stuff for a while to learn the box for the loops/synths parts a bit

I don't think the instructions are clear. It sounds like you can get back the sounds that come with the box by initializing (what some people may assume to be a 'factory reset'), and the only ones you would lose are the ones you created yourself after this unless you saved to card. You can't of course and you are left with your magical instrument providing some high quality silence out of a blank landscape until you get sampling.

exactly! it wasn't clear from the get go. I have other boxes myself and normally the factory restore brings it back to stock sounds and everything thats why I was so surprised to lose everything after I did it.robosardine wrote:I don't think the instructions are clear. and it says if you see the image about erasing just "user" material and I didn't expect the onboard sounds to be counted as such.
