Hi there,
I use a M3 live with the Radias exp.board.
It is a wonderfull machine that is much better and stronger the for example a triton orso.
The only thing that is not working fast is switch combi's.
When I want to switch a performance it sometimes cost me about 3 seconds (not always). It sounds stupid but I can't miss those 3 seconds.
Is there a way to loose there seconds? Is it possible that I use patches that are to "big"?
Kind regards,
Foppe

slow programmchange
Korg Kronos 61, Mainstage 3, Macbook pro 13" i7.
I have the same issue with the M3. Sometimes when I change combis I just sit and wait for what seems an extraordinary amount of time. I haven't noticed this issue when I use an external board midi'd to the M3 and using the external keyboard to change combis. It might be a hardware issue with the buttons. I'm currently trying to use karma as a workaround to the slow combi/program changing for live use. If I can come up with a solution, I'll share with all.

Thanks Bill, that's a nice tip...
It's not that nice during live gigs to have this soooo much long time to wait.
I'm experiencing this bad problem especially with Radias patches.
Regards

I read over at Stephen Kay's site that you can use Karma to switch between two different programs in a combi without any cutoof in sound. I tried it out and it works. Of course, you have to share EFX and you can only switch between two programs i.e. Piano/Organ, Piano/strings and such. I'm trying to figure out how to copy the karma module into other combis. I tried turning off globally the karma and drum track and the lag time between combis is still way too long for live use. I actually still use my Triton-Pro for live use because of the hold-ten function and quick program/combi changes. I too am seriously considering the PC3X because of its performance friendliness. Kurz has Quick Access and program/combi/setup hold function without cutoff of sound. I'm still trying to find workarounds so I may use the M3-73 for live use. It really is a killer synth, it just lacks live performance functionality.
