PadKontrol send Sysex to control another device?
Greetings!
(I think I posted this on a closed question, so I'm reposting as a new Q...)
I need to send the following message out of the PadKontrol to a Yamaha VL-70M sound module... Yamaha made the transpose function Sysex, for some crazy reason, making it practically impossible to use foot-pedals, etc... grrr... Here is the message The VL-70M expects...
F0 43 10 57 00 00 06 41 F7
F0 = Start Sysex
43 10 57 = Meant for VL-70M
00 00 06 =Transpose
41 = +1)
F7 = End Sysex
Can the Padkontrol send it? And if so, how? I can't figure out how to scrape the Padkontrol Device ID off the front of PK Sysex outputs in order to make another box think the message is for it instead of the Padkontrol.
(Thanks)

i am also wondering if the padKontrol is capable of sending Sysex messages...
i am hoping to control my QY-70, to mute/solo the Pattern sections
i need to send a string like this:
F0 43 10 4C 08 10 0B pr F7
the only way i can think to do this is to use the pK's computer editor to assign the Sysex string to one of the User Message keys (top 8 pads, 5 customisable)
but when i do that, it doesn't seem to work
does anyone have any ideas?
thanks

Yes the padKONTROL can send Sysex info
You just have to define your User message on the padkontrol!
However I don't think it is possible without Editor Librarian.
1- Open padKONTROL Editor Librarian ( with your padKONTROL connected through USB of course...)
2- Go to MIDI / Edit Global Data
3- Write your Sysex message in the user messgage space , press Enter
4- When you are satisfied... Transmit
You can even save 'em in case u need them later.
oh yeah I forgot the last an important step
5- when you need to transmit your message : Press Message + USER# (pad 4 - 8 )
Hope i didn't come too late
