Do I need an interface card?

Hi,

Simple question, really... I have the following equipment, but can't seem to get it all under control. Basically want the ability to pump everything through my PC's speakers, and record to hard drive with ease.

Gear: RADIAS-R, Guitar, Bass, Drum machine, Alesis USB mixer
Software: Reason 4, Ableton Live

The closest I've come involves using the USB Mixer as my PC's primary audio interface for both input and output, but I seem to notice some lag there. Would I be better off with a PCI audio interface? Or do I just need some monitors for my mixer?
