I am into Indian music and few of the old melodious Indian songs use Trill Effect.... Trill effect is kind of reverberating effect of notes in an interval of 1/8, 1/16, 1/32.....it is like tremelo but if you apply tremelo effect, you get the effect on each and every note you play generally you dont need that... If you want the tremelo on one single note that is Trill... trill effect is trigerred when two notes are pressed simultaneously only then it will trigger that effect.

suppose you want to play the notes CDE.. you want trill [1/32 note reverbearting] effect on E then you play C then D ... keep D note pressed and play E you get the trill effect on E.... that's it...

listen to the intro of the following song: song is 'Pukarta Chala Hoon Main...'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7oxDZ1dpH8

On [Shift + Ensemble] ; Type > select Trill ; Note Velocity > select 0 or someother [depends on the setting of your instrument... i suppose] Tempo > 1/32 or some other 1 to 32 options are there... try it...

This is used in guitar/banjo/and other string instruments....

I hope I was able to explain... :)

If you listen to the Intro 1 section of my PA800 sequence "Wo Kaghaz Ki Kashti" I have created the Trill effect played manually but used an instrument called "Banjo Key Off" from guitar section.

It is at the following link;

Hello Shahid,
Matured Keyboard players can do that manually but still applying the trill effect is a pleasure in itself. Firstly, programming is programming and gives you a very clean result... it gives you consistent result everytime you trigger.... manually it is very difficult to play 1/8, 1/12, 1/16, 1/24, 1/32 secondly if anyone is watching you play generally he will be taken by surprise...

In my case, Shahid my daughter plays PA800 and she is just 9 years old and for her to apply trill effect manually & effectively is just not possible, so I was after this effect.

I heard your mp3 samples earlier and today too... they are downloaded in my hard disk... yes you have done a clean work :) step recording to nahi kiya??? :D :D :D

Just joking yaar... :D :D

Hi,

How brilliant, she is just 9 and plays pa800, i much appreciate !!!!

I just wanted to show an example of Trill effect otherwise I didn't mean anything else.

Step recording can only be done in SEQUENCER Record Mode and I have done everything in Styles/ PADS record mode, so everything played rightaway basically if you make a mistake, you can just replay and well, there are editing options availale anyhow. for the trill effect I played in that demo, there is no editing involved at all, it just needed a bit concentration

As you know my sequences are not MIDIs or Karaoke style. A drawback of Karaoke/MIDI is you have to remember where to start from and where to stop at and if you miss it, you miss it !! BUT with my sequences it's just singing with particular styles and when you need interlude piece, just press on of the Intro button, so it's just like everything live.

Hello Shahid,
I have heard all your works on PA800 and very minutely ... I must say they are all great... to sum up 'You are Professional'.

I have never done step recording in my life Shahid.... I know only as much as the name suggests 'record in steps' that's all... :D I was just joking dear...

Yes, my daughter is a God gifted player and has given live performances in twin keyboard setup at the age on 9. I am proud of her.

Cheers !! :D
