thanks again, guys. Yeah, the LS is something I've considered, but it's damn hard to sell the K88 as it is, and even then the retail price here in Argentina is ridiculous even for the LS, so, not a great weight difference and I'd still be paying though the nose to get it. as regards the MODX88, wow ...

My suggestion would be to sell the Kronos 88, then buy a Kronos 61 and an 88-key MIDI controller. The 61 is light enough to lug around to gigs. :) 1002 you'll find this hard to believe, but THAT's exactly what I had before the 88 version, though with a Casio Privia. I sold it in order to have a ...

New software

Simple query: does the new software bring about anything else besides the quick split/layer function?

I installed it yesterday but was just curious

Thanks a lot for the replies. I'm still considering what to do, I guess for now I'll stick with the Kronos which I love so much and if any shows arise in the future I'll gather the strength and eagerness to move it around, maybe on a hand cart or dolly, which could ease the job a bit, and even try ...

thanks! well, I still don't know what to do.

How many people here gig frequently with the Kronos 88?

would a dolly give me some respite as regards moving my keyboard around? I still can't believe that it's 2019 and we can't get a Kronos-like workstation/synth that weighs 11kg or whereabouts.

Re: Downgrade to Krome...?

Hi, people. Let me explain this: I find myself at a bit of a quandary at the moment, I've had my Kronos 88 for 6 years and haven't taken it out for a rehearsal or show in 4, mainly because it's simply too heavy and unwieldy to lug around. To be honest, it's always been the perfect instrument in all ...

thinking of selling my kronos 88

Hi guys! it's been quite a long time since I've been here. I'll get straight to the point: I've had my Kronos 88 (1st gen) for 6 years and have used it very little for what it was intended: live playing my last gig hauling such a monstrous keyboard was 4 years ago and I haven't taken it out to gig ...

more Kronos in action!! (video clip)

Here's a video clip for a song from my new solo album. Most of the keyboard sounds come from it and it is heavily featured.

Hope you enjoy it (and share or comment)!!

As far as I recall, just a gentle EQ boost in the upper range (maybe a little at the bottom end too, can't remember), added string resonance (quite a lot of it) and a larger reverb (without overdoing it)

I think that was it :-)
