Re: Fixed velocity range interpretation not possible on Kron

Unfortunately you can not get the Kronos to interpret any velocity to a limited range. IT'S ONE THING THAT I WISH IT WOULD DO! but unfortunately no! The Velocity page is designed for cross fading between timbres where certain ranges of velocity trigger different sounds depending on how hard you ...

Take a look at the performance meter tab for the sounds you're layering and you'll quickly find out who the offending patches are. In the couple cases where I've had to look at this, it's been relatively easy to find ways to simplify it without drastically affecting the sound quality - especially ...

Busch, Busch, he's your man If he can't do it, no one can. ..Joe I messaged Busch and he hinted that the Sweet Dreams preset had SW1 switching between two different sequences. Thanks to him I was able to figure out a solution: Apparently you can have a Step Sq. and a Common Step Sq. running at the ...

Kronos piano overtone octave transpose issue

Hi guys! Has anyone else ran into a problem where if you transpose an SGX-2 piano sound into different octaves you end up with a different set of overtones? I think some other paramaters may vary as well. The problem seems to occur in the program mode when transposed within SGX-2 and also in combi ...

I've given up trying to sequence that bass line. I now just play it live with my left hand. It's not as difficult as it sounds. Playing it live helps when the lead singer comes in at the wrong time, which ours does frequently. :( I'm sorry to hear :D That certainly takes care of the problem but I ...

Mr. Mister Kyrie: bass sequence latch?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to tweak the Kronos' Kyrie preset into a patch I can use live. In the preset the arpeggiated bassline was done with Kronos' AL-1 and it's step sequencer. Changing the notes to fit the song was easy enough. The problem is that there are two different basslines in sequence and ...

Using Karma? Really? I thought Karma was only for GE:s, arpeggios and whatnot. How do you do it?

I guess going into the programs separately is my best bet. Just feels so redundant when the desired parameter is already mapped to something else.

Combi specific pedal assignments?

I'm trying to figure out a way to use RT Knob 1 with an expression pedal. I have two timbres in combi mode that sound fantastic when I do a filter sweep on RT Knob 1. The thing is, I need two hands to play the part so pedal it is! I guess the most straight-forward way would be to assign my pedal to ...

Perfect! I'll try this one out. Thanks! Also matchbook xD You can use hold parameter to that timbre. You can either alter timbre itself and set HOLD (PROG->Basic/vectoer->Program Basic->Key Zone and check Hold Or you can also alter Hold parameter to particular timbre in COMBI mode using Tone Adjust ...

I'm using the one pad note almost like a long ambient sample to create movement and a simple 'anchor' for the harmony and improvising on top of that. The piano is not layered with the pad. I can then fade the pad out with a slider. Could I maybe trigger the sequencer to hold that one note? I don't ...

Timbre specific sustain settings

Hi guys! I'm trying to figure out a way to sustain a pad sound in combi mode while playing piano using the damper freely. Currently my combi is setup so that the pad is set to one key in the high register and piano below that. I have to keep my damper pedal down which limits what I can play on the ...

Thanks for the help, guys. The audio was routed from my mac into my Kronos. I just went around the problem by using the Kronos' line outputs and using an audio interface with my mac instead.

Kronos audio interface "bitcrushing" problem.

Hello, everyone! This is my first post here but the forums have already been a tremendous help. I'm having a problem with the Kronos where every time I use it as an audio interface for my MBP (Mavericks) the audio coming in via the USB starts degrading and completely cuts off after a while. It ...
