have the same problem. so is this a problem with all volca models?
i get background noise out of the little speaker on the back as well regardless
of how the volume is set.

It's a Volca that uses samples as a sound source. How the f should you call it?

OK. So i figured it out. Nanokey2 was set via the Korg Kontrol Editor to MIDI Channel 16. I changed that to Channel 1 and now every plug-in works just fine.

Update: This is really strange. I also have a nanoPad2 and that works perfectly under the above circumstances? Also the nanokey2 works fine under Ableton Live.
