Can you explain how you are setting up each track, input/output midi/audio. If local control is off and you set up a midi track, Logic Patch thru has to be on to hear it. If you simultaneously set up an audio track (armed) and select the Aux of the midi channel for the input you will get sound also ...

With either DAW or Audio Interface (usb or fw) you would still need to arm an audio track before it would start recording audio. What I'm not understanding is when you say you're getting both audio and ...

If anyone has recs, i would appreciate it. People seem to dig Maschine - does anyone have experience with it or with other ...

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I guess there's probably no right or wrong way to go - it just depends on what one is comfortable with. I'll probably get the kronos x to start with and go from there. Any recommendations on a good DAW to record from a keyboard that will also integrate with VSTs i ...

Workstation vs VST if money no object
I used to make rap and downbeat electronic beats back in the day using a triton. I tried the switch to software using reason and logic and never got the hang of it and ended up giving up music altogether. I want to get back into it and am hoping for some advice. If money were no object, would you ...
