The "reload routine" in the previous email resets all sounds - by which is meant combinations and programs into their original factory slots so any of your sounds will be overwritten and lost. Save what you want to keep. You can also save the factory sounds to a USB flash drive and load thing that ...

KRONOS X - Catastrophic Failure - no course of repair
Words cannot express my disappointment in learning that I now own a $3000 piece of sculpture that once was a great keyboard. My Kronos X is unrepairable. Dead. It lives no more. It pines for Mt. Fuji. There are no spare parts available; motherboard out of stock and no longer made, and not ...

martin, Giving it some thought the fault may lie in the base organ sample that is the start point. We're assuming that the sample is a perfect wave and it isn't. Here's why: a tone wheel organ uses a rotating wheel as part of its basic signal generation -- this is itself very much akin to a looped ...

You can sometimes achieve similar sounds using other synth architecture. But because the triton is a rompler using specific waveform samples you won't get "identical" results unless you're moving up to newer models. Kronos has a sound engine that will duplicate most triton sounds but the .PCG files ...

Provide your floppy drive still works in your triton you can get a USB floppy drive (outboard) for about $20-25 dollars. I did that because my Mack has no floppy drive either. Floppy disks still available on line as well. All factory disks are available at this forums download section as well as a ...

I have a couple of recommendations. First, consider the history that you're looking at and the keyboard of the era. Example: 60's keys were limited to 3 main ones - Hammod Org, Fender Rhodes and Piano. Late 60's add Wurlitzer, Farfisa, Mellotron and miscellaneous orchestral instruments; Tower of ...

@ mfecher -- ditto what johnxyz said. You kind of have to look at the program level to see where modulation is built into the stock program. One clue is that there is an AMS or alternate modulation source that says "VEL" for velocity and has a value greater than zero (it may be plus or minus) on a ...

TK - To be clear, you can save all data, meaning to confirm that any changes you've made with editing during the previous session are written into internal memory without ever actually "backing up" anything. I believe what you're doing is not so much creating a back-up as requesting an update the ...

Hey, Jeff Krome is probably the most similar to the triton -- arps, similar architecture, excellent sounds from kronos, adds dedicated drum track with better variety or pop/rock/jazz/ethnic patterns vs many many techno patterns in the extreme. I think it only has 8 tracks per multi, tho. (I'm sure ...
