Re: KRONOS Relaunched!

32 bit doesn't bother me. I have had a Kronos since 2012, so have invested a lot of time learning the synth engines and creating sounds. I have never been a fan if its sequencer and hard disk recording, but the sounds and combinations are excellent. Its synth engines and polyphony still compare well ...

Kronos replacement ideas.

I suspect, and I am hoping, that Korg are working on a new flagship workstation over and above the Nautilus, built on new core hardware/firmware. Something that could run all of Korg's excellent Legacy Collection V3, with the addition of Z1, and a return of the wind and brass physical modelling as a ...

Firmware

In answer to the original question, I expect Korg to update the firmware of the Nautilus, as they have already done. By way of contrast, I bought a Mk1 Kronos in 2012. I was able to upgrade the memory and add an additional SSD. It has remained compatible with Kronos firmware updates, so it has the ...

New gear

A new Kronos or Nautilus module would be good. I am not interested in a keyboard without aftertouch.

Also, USB to HDMI can't work (I'll spare you the technical details).
It works on a Windows PC, and Kronos has a Linux kernel, so it should be possible.

The screen is fine here, and reading glasses can help with the small screen size, if necessary. It is a bit of a compromise, perhaps. Having a larger cutout, in what is effectively the chassis, to accommodate a bigger screen, would tend to weaken the top extrusion to the point where the Kronos ...

HDMI Output to Mirror the Touchscreen

1. HDMI Output to Mirror the Touchscreen
2. Basic compatibility with standard wired/wireless USB mice (click; click and drag, to mirror the touchscreen functions)

The Kronos is too powerful to do everything through a small screen.

Flip Up or Physical Angle adjustment of Screen

My main gripe is I would like a flip-up or physical angle adjustment of the screen. When using the Kronos in a seated position I find I keep having to lean forward to get a good angle of view on the screen. If the screen could be physically lifted to work at a higher angle that would help. Some good ...

Good suggestions

Here's my list, many of which have already been mentioned: - More user banks: I like the suggestion of other combinations such as bank U-AG etc. With sounds this good, it's hard not to always be coming up with new sounds, and loading all the EXs expansions quickly fills them up. - Option to ...

Upgrade

Lucky you! I got the upgrade done in November on a new Kronos 61 and I only got the 60 GB unit.

Not complaining though. It is an excellent synth workstation.
