I have a Triton Rack with a Moss board (Korg Z1) installed. Great machine and recommend it. Still sounds good today.

Had a read and listen on your web page. Sounds smooth. Do you still get eight velocity levels in programme mode?

Factory Restore

Hi team A question about Factory Restore. Can one use Kronos 2 restore DVDs to restore an original Kronos - or do you need the DVDs and relate to the particular model? I am wondering as I am selling my Kronos and also have a Kronos 2 - and both sets of DVDs. The original Kronos has been upgraded and ...

Yep there is a metal HD cage holding the original SSD with room for another. Power supply is right there. F What kind of drive-mounting hardware are you guys using (Kronos 2 88-key)? What does the second SSD mount to? Thanks! I could be mistaken, there should be a metal brace inside your K2 for a ...

Thanks for the cable suggestion Broadwave. The Silverstone Tek Ultra Thin Lateral 90 Degree SATA looks like it will work as the right angle comes out the side and will miss the Ram slot. Cheers Foden Thanks for the reply. Did you use a right angle or straight connector? I used a Silverstone SST CP11 ...

Thanks Sharp - I have seen that before. The issue with the Kronos 2 73 Key is data connection 0 is in a different place to the original Kronos mother board. It is kind of tucked away under the key weights. A straight cable hits one of the key weights and the right angle hits the ram slot leaver I ...

Thanks for the reply. Did you use a right angle or straight connector? I tried a straight but the cable interfered with the key weight and a right angle made a sharp turn around the ram tab. Not sure which is best. Cheers F I've added a second SSD to my K88 2, no problems with it - I had to remove a ...

Kronos (2) 73 key second SSD

Hi
Has anyone fitted a second SSD to a new Kronos (2) 73 key? The data 0 connection on the mother board is tucked under the key weights with a couple of wires in the way. Looks like a tricky fit.

Anyone done it? (not the original or the X! - I have done a K1 61 key no probs)

Thanks

No you can only have Moss sounds in bank F. If you need to save more patches than 128 you will have to save and load from disk.

I appreciate you have particular circumstances, so I feel for you on that. I normally buy second hand, but when I buy new like the Kronos, the intention is that it is a keeper for a very long time. My last new board before the Kronos in 2014 was the (still might) Yamaha EX5 in 1999. So the ...

You did well. I paid over 4k NZ for my K61 from Music Planet. That was back before the X came out. Prices sure are good now.

Yep I see what you mean Sharp. Good solution for Roland to get around the small screen.
I don't have a prob with the Kronos screen as I knew what I was buying. It would have been disappointing if Korg had not made some advances as the when developing the Krome (screen) at a later date.
