A little spontaneous jam on the new SGX-2 Italian Grand. I'm using the demo version so the 10 seconds silences all over the place lol. Tried my best to shorten them in my DAW.

I agree, it is the best Kronos piano so far. It's balanced in every sense of the word and pretty much the most versatile of all Kronos pianos.

Even for solo work, i seem to prefer it over the German Grand and that says a lot.

As for the price ? Not impressed!

Because it is a musical instrument, not some combobulation of high-tech parts. If I were to recommend to Korg ONE thing to do with the Kronos it would be to re-do their main sample library. Many of the sounds in the instrument go back to the OASYS and further. They are compromised because they were ...

My guess is that they are working on a software update, which will be rolled out on the Kronos' successor. My hunch is that they will make many of the same new features available on the existing Kronos, but the new Kronos will have more hardware power and will have features specific to that ...

My current plan is to wait for the 88 version of the Kronos successor. I made the mistake of buying the K61 back in 2011 instead of the 88 version. Now everytime i want to record pianos or eps, i need to hook a casio digital piano to the kronos or use the casio as a controller for keyscape ...

One common theme that i often hear one way or another in those interviews are stories on how the kronos gets mistaken with the real thing or stories on being asked what vst is used in an x or Y kronos made song etc. Goes to show that the kronos can be the ultimate "secret weapon" or "secret sauce ...

Omnisphere is great but the stock patches compared to Kronos are not any better. For me, the power of Omnsiphere lies in the expansions like Keyscape creative(but then you need Keyscape for that), that for me alone is worth investing in it. Having said that, i find myself laying ideas into reality ...

Speaking of X-Trade's mention of plugins, i will share something. Years after i bought the Kronos, i dove deep into the plugins world (still do). There's not a single piano library i didn't buy, acoustic guitar vsti, amp sims, electric guitar libraries, strings libraries (those are pricey) and so on ...
