Hi Clayton. I find that the K10 has plenty enough low end for me. I don't use the bass boost feature (cant remember what QSC call it..) as for me that makes acoustic piano in particular feel way to too bass heavy. I like piano's to cut thru the mix, in fact i've eq'd the bass way down on most of SV1 ...

I gig my SV in a Soul/Motown/60's covers act. It's perfect for this task.
It needs a good backline to really get the most out of it. I run my thru a QSC K10 and it's ideal. Use mostly rhodes/wurli's.

As you'll see from an earlier post i made, i had to go back to an earlier version of java before the editor would work Vista 64. Works great now though.

QSC K10 for me... light, loud, clear and closely replicates the sound of the SV1 as heard through headphones... oh yeh, expensive, but then so is the SV1 and i figured why spend a fortune on a board and put it through a cheap amp?

as a footnote to this.. if your having issues on Vista/win7 whereby your system wont work with the 32 bit version of the editor, i didnt find that changing drivers or messing with the registry was any help, it was just a big red herring! My driver shows up as SV1 not Korg SV1 and the editor works ...

Sorry i didnt read your original post carefully.. There are some demo's on Youtube of soundpack2 if you search them out, i'm certain i saw some when i was researching whether to buy the SV1. BUT if it's organ sounds your interested in i'll say this.. the jazz organ in SP2 is 'useable' but if your ...

Editor Problems

Its worth raising a ticket with Korg Support over this. I raised one for my issue and they came back to me after a day. Luckily i had managed to solve the issue myself but they were at least willing to try and help.

Editor Issue solved!!!

Happy Days, i solved my own problem... i managed to get the 64 bit version of the editor working by downloading a different Java runtime than the one referenced by the Korg manual. :D

Just bought my SV1. I love it, possibly one of the most satisfying keyboard purchases i've ever made. However i do find the factory piano sustain a bit short. So I downloaded soundpack2 to get hold of the longer sustain piano's, and installed the MIDI drivers and the Editor software and yeh, you ...
