aaaand I'm not sure if you have already come across this video but it seems to have a pretty basic explanation of how to set yourself up to record within Reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXlg-ocGZzM I was looking at that one before I bought the kP. It kind of nudged me into my final decision ...

Oh and the owners manual does have a lot of pertinent info... it's just confusing as hell as is usually the case with fancy music gizmos such as the pK.

I hear ya. Here, not sure if it will help you but this is the thread I posted asking for help with what I've managed to get done so far. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=69523 Here's a couple of articles on MIDI for beginners that helped me quite a bit. They are quite old but ...

It's a bit of a pain to get running. I'm new to pK myself and had to screw around with a lot of crap to get it to make noise. Here's a thread I posted with some stuff that might help.

Oh and "customizing" it is a pretty varied subject as you can set it up to do so many different things like use it as a transport control, trigger loops, play it freestyle, etc or set it up to do multiple functions at once. As far as looping I think that's more a matter of learning how your ...

Hi there. I'm a beginner as well and posted a similar thread without any response so I've just been doing my own research and cobbling together what I can. I'm not sure I can't help you at this point but if you elaborate a bit as to what you are trying to do I might be able to point you in the right ...

Hello again. I've figured out a no fuss, no muss way to get a full drumkit set up with FL and the padKontrol. Now this is probably an extremely crude way to go about it but it works and literally takes seconds to do. Now this merely makes it so you are able to play drums freestyle on the pads. For ...

Okay... seeing as how this seems to be a very slow moving forum and I didn't get any replies I had to spend the past few days combing the padKontrol section of this forum and glean what I could about my problem and then research it externally. I'm going to post my n00b misadventures to help out any ...

hmm... I managed to get some sound happening with FL but am having some serious latency/dropped hits issues. Notes seem to be sounding almost a second after I hit the pad. I'm assuming this is not normal. But hey... at least it's making noise. I'm a little burnt out on this stuff now so I'll check ...

New to midi and trying to get a padKontrol running...

Hey all. Just signed up here to today. I posted in the Welcome forums first and was helpfully directed here with my problem. I'll just repost my question from there. Also I will add that I have installed Fruity Loops demo since the original post hoping I could get it working with that. No dice ...

Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry I don't have the answer to your questions however you can best post your question for padKontrol in: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=49&sid=436bdd8be066a16e64d2004c21be3c66 Thanks. I was kind of poking around that section to see if I could find ...

Okay I'm just gonna drop my question(s) here and maybe ya'll can point me in the right direction. Essentially I've been a live musician for 20+ years. Guitar, vox, bass, drums, etc... I started getting into basic home recording about five years ago using Nuendo 2, a Layla Echo and a (now old) XP ...
