So far as I know, the DS1H is not compatible with the SV1.

Re: Newb seeking advice from the old salts ;)
Hi Guys I have a question that I'd welcome your advice on. I've always wanted to learn to play piano, but never got around to it. Moved around a lot with work. I plan to have a more settled existence from now on and have been reading digital piano reviews voraciously for a while. I still may move ...

The default sound that loads on startup is Bank 1 / Preset 1 on the preset knobs. These can be changed on the Software Editor - although if you chance it to anything other than an Electric Piano, the labelling on the front panel won't match with the sound. The level of the Rx noises (e.g. damper ...

I have experienced sudden patch changes while playing the SV-1, but I've always put it down to the fact that I've hit one of the favourites buttons when I'm getting a little exuberant while playing. It doesn't seem to happen when I'm practising, and my fingers are a little more reserved - only when ...

another detail : - on press : normal RX noise with velocity - on release : louder RX noise, no velocity It seems to be an issue on key release via MIDI only. Can you use a MIDI monitor program on a PC to see what the SV-1 produces when you release a key, versus what the MP4 produces? The Note On ...

The pedal supplied with the SV-1 is the DS-2H. No music stores seem to stock this pedal, but it does seem to be listed by stores selling parts - e.g. http://www.guitar-parts.com/catalog/korg-sustain-pedal-sv1-ds-2h-tas0010008 . Any pedal that is a simple switch (like the Korg PS-1) should operate as ...

There have been other similar problems reported - see links below. I think you'll need to take it back for repair/replacement.

There is a service manual available within files area of the SV-1 group on facebook. I think you'll need to join the group to get access. That will give instructions on how to remove the keybed.

I have a set of relatively cheap Logitech 2+1 speakers that are marketed as "Computer Speakers". Great bang for the buck (about 40 UK pounds) - because the market for computer speakers is much bigger than for studio gear, the kit is made on a much bigger scale, and hence is cheaper. A decent pair of ...

There are some additional piano sounds in the soundpacks that improve on the stock sounds supplied with the SV-1 http://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/240/#software . You'll need a computer with the correct drivers / editor to connect to the SV-1 and install the new sounds. I would say ...
