Most of the progs and combi's are not setup by default to have the aftertouch and cc2 adjusted to be useful. Adjust the values on the controller page. For me increasing the amount of aftertouch for the amp and filter was just the beginning.

Actually the fact that the Global has a patch could be good news as you probably have the same elements to make the patch. If only someone who has a global could post the algo and settings etc.

Since it is not under any warranty now, you can open these up pretty easily without breaking anything. Check the power jack to see if it has a loose solder joint or if the PC board is discolored in some locations this could be a burnt component.

Yep, 2 guitar cables in and 2 guitar cables out. Guitar amps have a limited frequency response so all you'll hear is midrange. Well I wish you luck. It sounds like you got a lot of use out of it though.

Lately I've been showing up to practice and gigs with only a Roland HandSonic HPD-15, and my Wavedrum Oriental.

And, as I keep seeing on newer devices. a"randomize" function. This would be a nice addition... to the dream.
